The cradle of La Dolce Vita, Experimental Roma emerges on Via Veneto

A French perspective on Italy

Experimental Roma is a hotel of inverted perspectives, a vision of designer Rodolphe Parente. A play of contrasts between noble textures and repurposed industrial elements. Marble negotiates with stainless steel, terracotta tones vibrate against shiny metal. Crossing the threshold into the lobby, the eye is captivated by an intimate, almost sacred interior. A sculpted staircase, a reference to the great Italian masters. A heritage brought to life with nods to the 1970s: chrome tubes, disco touches, lurex carpets. A dialogue between tradition and subversion. A rooftop suspended above the city. An bar with views of the Villa Borghese and the Colosseum are a backdrop for a swimming pool. In between, 82 rooms unfurl. Some evoke a theatrical Roman room bathed in light. Others offer a more refined, almost futuristic tune.

THE ROME I LOVE

Rome. Extravagant, spectacular, paradoxical. Beauty and ruins, grandeur and fragility. A living museum, the beating heart of creativity carrying history layered. Experimental Roma is not a replica of Rome’s past but a living homage. A narrative between sacred and profane, splendour and decay.

Discover Via VenetoAbstract white star shape with five thick, rounded arms.

An ancient world on our doorstep. The Roman sky andumbrella pines, the beauty of evenings falling on the Eternal City. Treasure to uncover, moments held sacred in our mind, visions of the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese and Fontana delle Api await.

A love letter to Rome

The gem of Via Veneto. The icon of La Dolce Vita, the heart of Italian glamour of the 1950s and 1960s, when paparazzi decorated the streets. The distinct click of the shutter repeated the moment actresses stepped out of their Alfa Romeo taxis. A sultry walk up hotel stairs, as if each moment was stolen from the silver screen. A street of cinematic fantasies, still imbued with the glow of old Italian films.

A blend of sensuality, elegance and religion delicate wrapped into one. Just beyond our doors, endless choices of museums, restaurants and basilicas, mere moments from Villa Borghese and the Trevi Fountain. Rome is not a postcard but an inner labyrinth, gems to be discovered around every corner, memories tucked away.
